Every year over a million people in United States have heart attack. It’s necessary to know about first aid methods for heart attack, because that can save precious lives. First aid method for heart attack is called CPR.
What is CPR?
Emergency first aid provided to people during heart attack or cardiac arrest is called Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Basic purpose of CPR is to keep the flow of oxygen in patient’s lungs and brain until the patient regains consciousness. CPR is performed in three following simple Steps:
1 – Call

First of all check the patient that he/she is responsive or not if not then call 911. After calling return to victim immediately, in most locations the emergency dispatcher can assist you with CPR instructions.
2 – Blow

Lean back the head of patient in sloping position; back of head must be down and mouth should be on upside position. Check the breathing of patient if not he/she is not breathing normally then pinch the nose and cover the mouth with yours. Then blow air into lungs of victim until you see the victim’s chest rise. Give two breaths and each breath should take 1 second.
3 – Pump

Still if the patient doesn’t breathe normally then begin chest compressions. In this step place your left hand on the chest between two nipples and right hand over you left hand. Then push down on the chest one and half to two inches 30 times. Keep pumping in that way at the rate of 100/minute, which is faster than once per second.
